Bio

Rajni Sahni works between the etching press and the easel — paintings built in layered oil and acrylic, prints pulled one edition at a time in linocut and etching. Trained in graphics at Kala Bhavana, Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan under K. G. Subramanyan, Nirmalendu Das, Pinaki Barua, Jayant Gajera and Anand Moy Banerji, and in ceramics and fine art in New Delhi, her practice moves easily between mediums most artists keep separate.

Her work has been shown at Triveni Kala Sangam, travelled to an international symposium in Wrocław, Poland, and passed through two decades of biennials, camps and studio residencies across India — including two editions of the Bharat Bhawan International Biennial of Print-Art, Bhopal. She lives and works in New Delhi.
